Cloth Incontinence Bed Pads Make Life Easier
Today I ordered some new cloth incontinence bed pads. I use these on my daughter’s bed on top of her fitted sheet.
She wears overnight adult briefs, but we use the pads in case of leaks. It just makes life easier, so I don’t have to change her entire bed in case of an accident. I just take off the washable incontinence bed pad and replace it with a clean one.
These are also great for “that time of the month” to protect your nice sheets from stains!
Benefits of Royal Heritage Washable Cloth Incontinence Bed Pads
This is the brand of reuseable incontinence bed pads we buy. I have been using these for more than four years and they have exceeded my expectations.
- Very soft to sleep on! These cloth incontinence bed pads feel soft to the skin, and the protective layer is flexible, not at all stiff or “crunchy.” Very important if you have someone with sensory issues, which we do.
- The saddle style keeps them in place on the mattress, so they do not slide around during the night.
- They hold up well to laundering. We have had some of our pads for more than four years. The seams and fabric have all held up. There are no tears or holes.
- Easy to change! If the sheet gets wet during the night, just put one of these pads on top of the wet spot and you won’t have to change the sheets until morning.
We have several of these bed pads, because my daughter has lots of accidents. She sometimes takes off her diaper then goes back to bed. If this happens, the pad will usually catch most of the urine and saves me from having to strip her bed. I only have to change the pad and her pajamas, and give her a clean blanket.
I started using these washable incontinence bed pads when Abby was having migraine headaches and not waking up to go to the toilet. I kept these on her bed under her top sheet to protect the mattress in case she wet the bed. They worked great for that!
Now I put them on top of the sheet for Fanny, and we are very happy with them. I tuck the ends under her mattress and they stay put very well.
We have a few pads of different styles, but this one is our favorite. The others have become our backup pads in case this saddle bed pad is in the laundry.
Saddle Style Bed Pads in Action
I thought I would share the video of this mom demonstrating the saddle style bed pads we like at our house. Plus, she has a great tip for using the regular cloth bed pads that will keep them from sliding around on the bed when your kids move around at night!
